Job Requirements

  • Must be able to accurately weigh, sift, measure, and mix baking ingredients
  • be able to adhere to recipes
  • must be knowledgeable in bread and standard pastry items such as ice creams, cakes, chocolate, and various pastry techniques
  • must have at least 3 years of pastry experience
  • must be able to lift over 50 lbs
  • must have basic bakery skills and a good understanding of bakery terminology, as well as baker's math
  • ability to perform effectively under conditions of fluctuating workload
  • ability to interact in a team based environment
  • ability to complete orders quickly
  • ServSafe is a plus, as well as previous experience in a high-volume bakery or restaurant setting

Job Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of pastry experience
  • knowledgeable in bread and standard pastry items including ice creams, cakes, chocolate, and various pastry techniques

  • effective communication and teamwork skills
  • ability to perform under fluctuating workload conditions

  • preparing baked goods and kitchen equipment
  • baking, cooking, and arranging food
  • maintaining a sanitized and organized kitchen
  • operating equipment such as mixers, food processors, slicers, blenders, gas range, and fryers
  • checking ingredient quality
  • preparing food using various pastry techniques
  • arranging food for appealing presentation
  • managing food storage, stock, and ingredient orders
  • applying time management and organizational skills to plan daily production
