Job Requirements
- Must be able to use standard kitchen equipment correctly and safely
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for food preparation
- Ability to coordinate work with and follow the direction of the chef or cook
- Use of food cost control methods
- Possess ServSafe certification or City/State Food Handler Card
- Ability to work up to 8 hours on feet
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 25lbs
- Ability to work under pressure and time deadlines during peak periods
- Must comply with all safety rules and actively prevent accidents
- Must follow dress code requirements
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 3-4 years prior baking experience, bread and viennoiserie preferred
- Ability to use standard kitchen equipment correctly and safely
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and food preparation techniques
- Ability to coordinate work with and follow direction of chef or cook
- Possess ServSafe certification or City/State Food Handler Card
- Effective communication skills
- Positive attitude and passion for customer service
Job Duties
- Prepare and bake food according to recipes and experience
- Observe and test foods to determine if they have been baked sufficiently, taking temperatures
- Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes, using various kitchen utensils and equipment
- Accountability and ownership over ovens
- Follow all safety rules and actively prevent accidents
- Commit to the service values and ethics of the client company
- Comply with all ServSafe and HACCP programs and principles
- Perform other duties as assigned
