Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • must have a working telephone number for contact
  • must have reliable telephone and transportation
  • treat information as confidential
  • must pass pre-employment and random drug tests
  • must complete a criminal background check
  • must meet necessary requirements to obtain a security-sensitive identification badge
  • must adhere to all safety rules including equipment training and PPE
  • must attend required safety training

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • computer experience
  • previous customer service experience preferred
  • ability to communicate clearly and concisely in verbal and written communication
  • ability to read, write, understand and carry out instructions in English
  • tact to deal with various situations and people
  • U.S. citizenship or valid work authorization
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • ability to push, pull and lift 50 to 70 lbs
  • ability to carry oversize bags 100 to 125 yards

Job Duties

  • Meet and greet passengers with tickets
  • provide assistance to passengers as requested or required
  • monitor ticket counter and self-service check-in queue activity
  • assist with ticketing and boarding process, gates, and baggage service
  • direct large pieces of luggage, pets, and other checked articles too large for baggage system to oversize
  • summon security supervisor and refer difficult or uncooperative passengers to security
  • keep supervisor informed of needs and problems in assigned areas
  • maintain cleanliness of work area and report maintenance needs
  • project a positive image and respond courteously to inquiries
  • attend meetings and inservices as required
  • utilize communication channels and maintain records, reports, and files
  • wear proper uniform or business attire
  • keep identification badges visible
  • adhere to company policies and procedures
  • use equipment, supplies, and resources cost-effectively
  • perform other duties as requested
  • comply with all safety requirements including reporting unsafe conditions and wearing proper PPE
