Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have reliable telephone and transportation
- Treat all information as confidential
- Must be able to stand/walk in terminal area throughout scheduled shift
- Must be able to consistently push, pull and lift 50 to 70 lbs
- Must be able to carry oversized bags 100 to 125 yards
- Must pass pre-employment and random drug tests
- Must complete a criminal background check
- Must meet necessary requirements to obtain a security sensitive identification badge
- Must be a U.S. citizen or possess necessary authorization from INS
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Computer experience preferred
- Previous customer service experience preferred
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in verbal and written communication
- Ability to read, write, understand and carry out instructions in English
- Capability to deal with all levels of situations, client representatives, employees and the public with tact
- Compliance with company uniform and grooming standards
- Authorization to work in the United States
Job Duties
- Actively participate in the Safety Management System (SMS)
- Greet passengers, clients and airline personnel in a courteous and professional manner
- Read and understand letters and numbers to accurately pre-screen passenger tickets and determine city destination/gate locations
- Provide general information, directions and flight information to passengers
- Provide special services like courtesy chairs and bag carts as required
- Direct oversized luggage, pets and other checked articles to the appropriate area
- Summon security supervisor and refer difficult or uncooperative passengers to security
- Keep supervisor informed of needs and problems
- Maintain cleanliness of immediate work area and report maintenance needs
- Project a positive image and respond courteously to inquiries
- Attend meetings and inservices as required
- Utilize communication channels and maintain records, reports and files
- Wear proper uniform or business attire and keep identification badges visible
- Adhere to company policies and participate in company objectives
- Use equipment, supplies and resources conscientiously and cost-effectively
- Perform other duties as requested
- Comply with safety requirements including wearing proper PPE and reporting unsafe conditions
