Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum age of 18 years
  • Computer literacy
  • Previous customer service experience preferred
  • Reliable telephone and transportation
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Physical capability to lift 50 to 70 lbs and carry oversized bags for considerable distances
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English
  • Pass pre-employment and random drug screenings
  • Completion of a criminal background check
  • Authorization to work in the United States
  • Ability to obtain security sensitive identification badge

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Computer experience necessary
  • Previous customer service experience preferred
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must have a working telephone number for contact
  • Must have reliable telephone and transportation
  • Treat all information as confidential
  • Possess tact to deal with all levels of situations, client representatives, employees and the public
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in verbal and written communication
  • Must be able to read, write, understand and carry out instructions in English
  • Must be able to stand and walk in terminal area throughout the scheduled shift
  • Must be able to consistently push, pull and lift 50 to 70 lbs
  • Must be able to carry oversized bags such as ski bags, snowboard bags, boot bags for 100 to 125 yards
  • Must pass pre-employment and random drug tests
  • Must complete a criminal background check
  • Must meet necessary requirements to obtain a security sensitive identification badge
  • Must be a citizen of the United States or possess necessary authorization from the Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS)

Job Duties

  • Greet passengers, clients and airline personnel in a courteous and professional manner
  • Read and understand letters and numbers to accurately pre-screen passenger tickets and determine city destination/gate locations for international and domestic flights
  • Provide general information to passengers, give directions and flight information
  • Provide special services such as courtesy chairs and bag carts as required
  • Direct large pieces of luggage, pets and other checked articles too large for baggage handling system to oversize
  • Summon the security supervisor and refer difficult or uncooperative passengers to security
  • Keep supervisor informed of needs and problems in assigned areas, maintain cleanliness of work area, and report maintenance needs
