Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Availability to work various hours and days
  • Thorough knowledge of fares and schedules
  • Ability to handle large sums of money and balance ticket stock with revenue
  • Ability to pass and qualify on skills test within 30 days
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Computer literate
  • Ability to annunciate clearly

  • Excellent oral and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to annunciate clearly
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Computer literacy with preference for Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Ability to pass skills test within 30 days

Job Duties

  • Assist customers with fare purchases and information
  • Sell various ticket types using mobile devices and printers
  • Receive, verify, and record cash remittances from conductors
  • Manage ticket stock inventory and record transactions
  • Balance ticket sales and cash receipts
  • Maintain cash bank in appropriate denominations
  • Train and onboard new employees
  • Assist customers with commuter rail information and announcements
  • Operate Train Information Display System and make train departure announcements
  • Communicate with operations and trainmasters regarding train status
  • Receive and manage lost and found items
  • Handle large sums of money and balance ticket stock with revenue
  • Oversee daily station activity including safety and job briefings
  • Assist with station staffing and scheduling
  • Perform other duties as assigned
