Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in event coordination or similar role preferred
  • experience working with children and managing children’s events
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to handle physical demands including standing for long periods and lifting
  • ability to multitask and adjust plans based on feedback
  • availability to work nights, weekends, and early mornings as required
  • must be able to comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements
  • ability to work in a public retail store setting
  • willingness to adhere to company policies and procedures

Job Duties

  • Plan and coordinate multiple events at once including children’s birthday parties and other craft classes or events
  • engage with clients of all ages by creating an environment of fun and creativity
  • demonstrate and instruct party participants in the completion of craft projects, perform face painting and other activities
  • facilitate and implement party add-ons such as goody bags, balloons, etc. to company standards
  • communicate events with clients and store team members
  • complete administrative tasks such as answering emails, making phone calls, and completing paperwork as needed
  • adjust plans and events based on client’s feedback and needs
  • create backup or emergency plans to be executed as needed
  • ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events
  • uphold the company’s cleanliness and safety standards
  • set up, break down, and clean before and after each event
  • help customers shop, locate products, and provide them with solutions
  • provide fast and friendly check out experience
  • engage customers on benefits of Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments
  • educate customer on Voice of Customer survey
  • assist with Omni channel processes including Buy Online Pickup in Store and Ship From Store
  • participate in the truck un-load, stocking and planogram processes
  • complete merchandise recovery and maintenance
  • perform Store in Stock Optimization and AD set duties as assigned
  • support shrink and safety programs
  • adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements
  • interact with others in an accepting and respectful manner
  • remain positive and respectful, even in difficult situations
  • promote commitment to the organization’s vision and values
  • project a positive image and serve as a role model for other Team Members
  • cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production
  • participate in daily store cleanliness activities including sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and maintaining cleanliness of restrooms
  • perform other duties as assigned
