Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in retail or customer service
- Ability to remain standing for long periods
- Ability to move throughout the store and perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, carrying, and reaching
- Ability to lift heavy boxes and access high shelves using ladders or similar equipment
- Excellent people skills
- Good communication skills including listening
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and early mornings
- Must satisfy federal, state, and local employment laws
Job Qualifications
- Experience working with children and children’s events
- Excellent communication skills including written, verbal, and nonverbal communication
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and creative problem-solving skills
- Retail or customer service experience
- Energetic and enthusiastic personality
- Ability to handle job stress and interact effectively with others
Job Duties
- Plan and coordinate multiple events including children’s birthday parties and craft classes
- Engage clients of all ages by creating an environment of fun and creativity
- Demonstrate and instruct participants in craft projects and perform activities like face painting
- Facilitate party add-ons such as goody bags and balloons according to standards
- Communicate event details with clients and store team members
- Complete administrative tasks including answering emails, making phone calls, and paperwork
- Adjust event plans based on client feedback and create backup plans as needed
