Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Retail or customer service experience preferred
  • Ability to remain standing for long periods
  • Ability to move throughout the store
  • Capability to bend, lift, carry, reach, and stretch regularly
  • Ability to lift heavy boxes and access high shelves using ladders or similar equipment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, and early mornings
  • Must comply with all federal, state, and local legal requirements for the job
  • Ability to engage effectively with guests and coworkers
  • Willingness to adhere to company policies and standards

Job Qualifications

  • Retail and/or customer service experience
  • Experience working with children and children's events
  • Excellent people skills
  • Good communication skills including written, verbal, and listening skills
  • Organizational, interpersonal, and creative problem-solving skills
  • Energetic and enthusiastic personality
  • Ability to handle job stress and interact effectively with others

Job Duties

  • Plan and coordinate multiple events at once including children's birthday parties and craft classes
  • Engage with clients of all ages by creating an environment of fun and creativity
  • Demonstrate and instruct party participants in the completion of craft projects and face painting
  • Facilitate and implement party add-ons such as goody bags and balloons
  • Communicate events with clients and store team members
  • Complete administrative tasks including answering emails, making phone calls, and managing paperwork
  • Adjust plans based on client feedback and create backup plans
  • Ensure client satisfaction and uphold cleanliness and safety standards before and after events
  • Help customers shop and locate products
  • Provide fast and friendly checkout experience
  • Promote Rewards program and Private Label Credit Card enrollments
  • Educate customers on Voice of Customer survey
  • Assist with Buy Online Pickup in Store and Ship From Store processes
  • Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram duties
  • Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance
  • Support shrink and safety programs
  • Adhere to company policies and execute Standard Operating Procedures
  • Interact respectfully with customers and coworkers
  • Cross train in Custom Framing selling and production
  • Participate in daily store cleanliness activities including sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and restrooms cleaning
  • Perform other duties as assigned
