Job Requirements

  • Ability to remain standing for long periods
  • Ability to move throughout the store
  • Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching
  • Ability to lift heavy boxes and access high shelves using ladders or equipment
  • Must meet federal, state, and local legal requirements
  • Flexible to work nights, weekends, and early mornings
  • Ability to interact effectively with guests of all ages and co-workers
  • Must maintain a positive and respectful demeanor in all situations

Job Qualifications

  • Experience working with children and children’s events
  • Retail and/or customer service experience
  • Excellent people skills
  • Good communication skills including written, verbal, and nonverbal communication
  • Organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Energetic and enthusiastic personality

Job Duties

  • Plan and coordinate multiple events including children’s birthday parties and craft classes
  • Engage clients of all ages by fostering a fun and creative environment
  • Demonstrate and instruct craft projects and activities such as face painting
  • Facilitate party add-ons like goody bags and balloons according to company standards
  • Communicate event details with clients and store team members
  • Complete administrative tasks including answering emails and making phone calls
  • Adjust event plans based on client feedback and create backup plans
  • Ensure client satisfaction and uphold cleanliness and safety standards
  • Assist customers with shopping, locating products, and provide solutions
  • Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience
  • Promote Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards enrollments
  • Support Omni channel processes like BOPIS and Ship From Store
  • Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram activities
  • Maintain merchandise recovery and perform Store in Stock Optimization and AD set duties
  • Support shrink and safety programs and adhere to company policies
  • Participate in store cleanliness duties including sweeping and restrooms maintenance
  • Cross-train in Custom Framing selling and production
  • Perform other duties as assigned
