Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in retail or customer service
  • Ability to stand for long periods and move around the store
  • Ability to lift heavy boxes and access high shelves using ladders
  • Ability to communicate clearly and positively with customers and coworkers
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and early mornings
  • Must satisfy federal, state, and local legal requirements
  • Ability to follow company policies and safety regulations

  • Experience working with children and children’s events
  • Retail and/or customer service experience
  • Good communication skills including written, verbal, and nonverbal
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle job stress and interact effectively with others
  • Energetic and enthusiastic personality
  • Creative problem-solving skills

Job Duties

  • Plan and coordinate multiple events including children’s birthday parties and craft classes
  • Engage with clients by creating an environment of fun and creativity
  • Demonstrate and instruct craft activities and perform party tasks such as face painting
  • Facilitate party add-ons like goody bags and balloons
  • Communicate event details with clients and store team members
  • Complete administrative tasks such as emails, phone calls and paperwork
  • Adjust event plans based on client feedback and create back-up plans
  • Ensure client satisfaction and uphold cleanliness and safety standards
  • Assist customers with shopping and locating products
  • Provide fast and friendly checkout experiences
  • Promote rewards program and credit card enrollments
  • Educate customers on Voice of Customer surveys
  • Support omnichannel shopping processes including BOPIS and SFS
  • Participate in truck unloading, stocking, and merchandise maintenance
  • Perform recovery, Store in Stock Optimization, and ensure compliance with policies
  • Support shrinkage and safety programs
  • Interact positively and respectfully with customers and team members
  • Participate in custom framing selling and production
  • Maintain store cleanliness through daily activities
