Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working with children and children's events
  • Retail and customer service experience required
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Ability to lift and move heavy boxes
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to interact effectively with customers and team members
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and early mornings as scheduled
  • Must comply with all federal, state, and local legal requirements for employment

Job Duties

  • Plan and coordinate multiple events including children's birthday parties and craft classes
  • Engage with clients of all ages by creating a fun and creative environment
  • Demonstrate and instruct party participants on craft projects and activities like face painting
  • Facilitate event add-ons such as goody bags and balloons
  • Communicate effectively with clients and store team members
  • Complete administrative tasks like answering emails and making phone calls
  • Adjust plans based on client feedback and create backup plans
  • Ensure client satisfaction for all scheduled events
  • Uphold cleanliness and safety standards including set up and clean up before and after events
  • Assist customers with shopping, locating products, and provide solutions
  • Provide fast and friendly checkout experiences
  • Promote and enroll customers in rewards programs and private label credit cards
  • Educate customers on the Voice of Customer survey
  • Support Omni channel processes including Buy Online Pickup in Store and Ship From Store
  • Participate in truck unload, stocking and planogram processes
  • Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance
  • Perform Store in Stock Optimization and AD set duties
  • Support shrink and safety programs
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and company policies
  • Interact respectfully and maintain a positive attitude
  • Cross-trained in custom framing selling and production
  • Participate in daily store cleanliness activities
