Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Ability to lift and carry parts and equipment as needed
  • Reliable transportation to and from work
  • Ability to work flexible hours including some early mornings or late evenings
  • Must pass background check and drug screening
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow company policies
  • Good physical condition and stamina to perform job duties
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members
  • Willingness to complete required training and certifications

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in delivery driving or parts handling preferred
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and perform basic maintenance on delivery vehicle
  • Knowledge of automotive parts and inventory may be beneficial
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Professional attitude and appearance
  • Ability to follow company policies and safety regulations

Job Duties

  • Picks up and delivers parts and equipment to customers, satellite stores, wholesale accounts and vendors
  • Checks with parts manager, wholesale representative, inventory control administrator, parts counter people or shipping and receiving clerk before leaving to coordinate any last minute pick-ups or deliveries
  • Delivers parts to body shop when needed and distributes to appropriate body technicians
  • Verifies that invoice matches purchase order for each pick up
  • Checks payments received with the invoices for each delivery
  • Keeps an accurate log of daily deliveries and pick-ups
  • Requests recipient's signature on each delivery entry
  • Unloads truck each night
  • Turns in all paperwork and undelivered parts
  • Handles basic maintenance of the truck including filling tank with gas, checking oil, keeping it clean and making sure required inspections are performed
  • Advises parts manager if delivery trucks need major repairs and maintenance
  • Assists service department as needed with attendant responsibilities of managing the drop-off and pick-up of customers cars
  • Helps with stocking and posting orders when they arrive to expedite delivery to shop technicians and wholesale accounts
  • Maintains a professional attitude with co-workers, customers, vendors
  • Follows the dress code the company has put in place
  • Maintains a clean and neat work area
  • Follows federal, state and local law as well as company policy about safeguarding all information
  • Reports on time to work and follows schedule that is given
  • Calls supervisor if cannot be at work on time
  • Keeps current with annual HR training along with any other training that might be required for this position
  • Follows all company policies and procedures
  • Notifies supervisor of any illegal activity
  • Maintains an accountable driving record according to insurance standards at all times
  • Prohibited from operating any powered vehicle or equipment while under the influence of substances including medical marijuana
