Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to lift and carry parts and equipment as needed
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Ability to work flexible hours including some early mornings or late evenings
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow company policies
- Good physical condition and stamina to perform job duties
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members
- Willingness to complete required training and certifications
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in delivery driving or parts handling preferred
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain accurate records and perform basic maintenance on delivery vehicle
- Knowledge of automotive parts and inventory may be beneficial
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Ability to follow company policies and safety regulations
Job Duties
- Picks up and delivers parts and equipment to customers, satellite stores, wholesale accounts and vendors
- Checks with parts manager, wholesale representative, inventory control administrator, parts counter people or shipping and receiving clerk before leaving to coordinate any last minute pick-ups or deliveries
- Delivers parts to body shop when needed and distributes to appropriate body technicians
- Verifies that invoice matches purchase order for each pick up
- Checks payments received with the invoices for each delivery
- Keeps an accurate log of daily deliveries and pick-ups
- Requests recipient's signature on each delivery entry
- Unloads truck each night
- Turns in all paperwork and undelivered parts
- Handles basic maintenance of the truck including filling tank with gas, checking oil, keeping it clean and making sure required inspections are performed
- Advises parts manager if delivery trucks need major repairs and maintenance
- Assists service department as needed with attendant responsibilities of managing the drop-off and pick-up of customers cars
- Helps with stocking and posting orders when they arrive to expedite delivery to shop technicians and wholesale accounts
- Maintains a professional attitude with co-workers, customers, vendors
- Follows the dress code the company has put in place
- Maintains a clean and neat work area
- Follows federal, state and local law as well as company policy about safeguarding all information
- Reports on time to work and follows schedule that is given
- Calls supervisor if cannot be at work on time
- Keeps current with annual HR training along with any other training that might be required for this position
- Follows all company policies and procedures
- Notifies supervisor of any illegal activity
- Maintains an accountable driving record according to insurance standards at all times
- Prohibited from operating any powered vehicle or equipment while under the influence of substances including medical marijuana
