Job Requirements
- One year automotive parts related experience
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- experience dealing with the public in sales or service capacity preferred
- computer skills preferred
- ability to occasionally lift 75 pounds
- ability to reach and use arms with full range of motion
- ability to endure prolonged standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and squatting
- ability to exert push and pull forces with arms
- ability to endure prolonged forward and overhead arm positions
- ability to use hands to grasp tools and parts
- ability to climb onto and operate equipment
- willingness to work indoors around moving mechanical parts and occasionally in outdoor weather extremes
- ability to wear common protective or safety equipment
- ability to perform work in cramped spaces or high places
Job Qualifications
- One year automotive parts related experience
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- prefer experience dealing with the public in sales or service capacity
- computer skills preferred
Job Duties
- Work with customers and mechanics to fill parts requirements
- prepare invoices for all over the counter sales and house requisitions for all parts issued to shops
- assist in maintaining stock levels, receiving and shipping parts, and issuing local purchase orders
- work with outside salesmen to fill customer parts requirements to achieve maximum customer satisfaction
- maintain a neat and clean appearance in the customer parts area and parts warehouse
- update and maintain master parts and price books
- enter all lost sales into the inventory system to ensure proper inventory items and levels
- prepare information for the Parts Manager on parts required for inventory
- operate a terminal console and other equipment in fulfilling duties
