Job Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 lbs following appropriate safety procedures
- Ability to work in an upright standing position for long periods
- Ability to crawl in small and tight spaces
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions including heat, cold, wind, and rain
- Ability to walk and climb stairs
- Ability to handle, finger, grasp, and feel objects and equipment
- Ability to reach with hands and arms
- Ability to navigate the property or building quickly and easily
- Ability to perform repetitive motions with wrists, hands, and fingers
- Ability to respond to emergencies promptly
- Ability to climb ladders and work at heights up to 3 feet
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency preferred
- Previous custodial experience preferred
- Multiple language fluency desirable
- Strong customer service skills required
- Strong communication skills required
- Strong interpersonal skills required
Job Duties
- Performs a variety of cleaning and maintenance duties including sweeping, mopping, shampooing, dusting, polishing, trash disposal, replacing light bulbs and window cleaning
- Informs supervisor of needed supplies
- Maintains all cleaning solutions in accordance with OSHA requirements for hazardous chemicals
- Removes trash from premises and assists in emergency cleaning
- Properly utilizes new equipment and follows safety procedures prior to use
- Maintains friendly and professional attitude
- Maintains appropriate levels of sanitary and cleaning supplies for assigned areas
- Inspects assigned areas daily and reports discrepancies to supervisor
- Ensures security procedures are followed at all times
- Follows all safety precautions while performing work
- Completes daily work orders as scheduled
- Maintains assigned equipment in good working condition
- Cleans restrooms including sweeping and mopping floors, refilling dispensers, cleaning toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors and counters, and removing trash
- Reports discrepancies or deficiencies to supervisor
