Job Requirements

- Able to handle money and operate point-of-sale system
- Able to work standing for long periods
- Able to safely lift and maneuver trays and containers up to 25 pounds

Job Duties
- Report for work a minimum of 15 min prior to scheduled start time
- Create and contribute to a positive, productive work environment with a can-do attitude and customer-centric approach
- Perform opening duties according to Front of House Side Work Checklist
- Attend shift line up in attentive, engaged manner
- Complete shift objectives as discussed in line-up
- Review shift section assignments and prepare assigned section for service including table set up
- Review shift section reservations noting special considerations
- Welcome guests warmly within 2-3 minutes of seating
- Review menus emphasizing beer and specific food items
- Answer questions about beverages, menu items, and restaurant services
- Inform guests of menu changes and daily specials
- Take accurate beverage and food orders and input into POS system
- Check guests identification for alcoholic beverage consumption
- Serve food and beverages to guests
- Perform food preparation duties such as soup, salads, bread, brewing coffee/tea
- Present, open and serve bottle wine with appropriate glassware
- Monitor guest experience and respond promptly to issues
- Engage MOD for issues requiring escalation
- Recognize and learn names of regular guests
- Look for opportunities to exceed service standards
- Remove used service ware and glassware
- Prepare checks and review for accuracy
- Collect and process payments
- Thank guests and invite them to return
- Clear and clean tables
- Assist host with reservations, to-go orders, greeting and seating guests
- Enter reservations accurately with special considerations
- Complete side work
- Maintain knowledge of beer, menu items, wine, and cocktail menus
- Attend and participate in team meetings and training programs
- Share suggestions for improvement with management
