Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in customer service or administrative support preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to operate telephone switchboard
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to sit for extended periods
  • Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally
  • Close visual acuity for data analysis and documentation
  • Willingness to adhere to federal banking regulations
  • Ability to work in a professional environment

Job Qualifications

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent telephone skills
  • Familiarity with computer applications such as Word and Excel is desirable
  • Ability to communicate clearly in person and verbally

Job Duties

  • Welcomes members to TowneBank and directs them to appropriate personnel
  • Operates the main telephone switchboard and assists callers by transferring or taking messages
  • Becomes familiar with TowneBank’s locations, hours, and contacts to answer routine questions
  • Types memos, correspondence, reports, and other documents as needed
  • Assists the branch or department team with various day-to-day duties
  • Assists with copy projects
  • Displays professional appearance and behavior
  • Adheres to federal laws including AML and BSA regulations
  • Performs other duties as assigned
