Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is a plus
- must possess a passion for wine and the wine industry
- availability to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and evening shifts
- previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not required
- 2 years of retail sales experience preferred
- excellent communication skills
- strong organizational and time management skills
- ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
- willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment

- a thorough understanding of wine and food pairings including origins, preparation and production methods, and the ability to explain why certain wines pair well with set food items

Job Duties
- Create engaging, educational, and memorable guest experiences
- assist in achieving financial goals including tasting room wine sales, tasting room food sales by executing an elevated food and wine experience, wine insider sign-up goals
- perform monitoring and stocking duties as assigned
- maintain a clean and organized work environment including bar areas, dining area, patios, and wine storage
- address guest concerns and complaints using good judgment and tact, elevating complaints to management when necessary
- complete end of shift tasks such as processing guest checks, allocating pooled gratuities, cleaning and resetting the dining room, and completing closing side work
- continuously educate yourself on new Lewis wine releases, viticulture, and winemaking technique
- attend all monthly and weekly tasting room meetings
