Job Requirements
- Associates must be at least 18 years of age
- Willingness to participate in and successfully complete required training
- Ability to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel
- Ability to reach with hands and arms
- Ability to talk or hear and taste or smell
- Ability to occasionally climb or balance and stoop, kneel, or crouch
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 45 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color, and depth perception
- Ability to work in environments with occasional exposure to wet, hot, or cold conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals
- Ability to work in moderate noise level environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Two to three years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend English
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
- Knowledge of relevant computer software including inventory, email, spreadsheet, and word processing
- Basic mathematical skills including calculations with money and measurements
- Ability to apply commonsense reasoning to carry out written or oral instructions
- Completion of company training programs such as new hire orientation, customer service, safety, food safety, and product knowledge
Job Duties
- Manage and supervise associates in the Wine/Beer Department
- Oversee overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the department
- Assist customers in the selection and purchase of wine and beer
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws
- Interview and train associates
- Plan, assign, and direct work
- Assist in appraising performance
- Reward and discipline associates
- Address complaints and resolve problems
