Job Requirements

  • Associates must be at least 18 years of age
  • Willingness to participate in and successfully complete required training
  • Ability to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel
  • Ability to reach with hands and arms
  • Ability to talk or hear and taste or smell
  • Ability to occasionally climb or balance and stoop, kneel, or crouch
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 45 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color, and depth perception
  • Ability to work in environments with occasional exposure to wet, hot, or cold conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals
  • Ability to work in moderate noise level environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Two to three years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend English
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Knowledge of relevant computer software including inventory, email, spreadsheet, and word processing
  • Basic mathematical skills including calculations with money and measurements
  • Ability to apply commonsense reasoning to carry out written or oral instructions
  • Completion of company training programs such as new hire orientation, customer service, safety, food safety, and product knowledge

Job Duties

  • Manage and supervise associates in the Wine/Beer Department
  • Oversee overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the department
  • Assist customers in the selection and purchase of wine and beer
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws
  • Interview and train associates
  • Plan, assign, and direct work
  • Assist in appraising performance
  • Reward and discipline associates
  • Address complaints and resolve problems
