Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • prior experience in a host, front-of-house, or customer service role preferred but not required

Job Duties

  • Greet and seat residents and guests in a warm, friendly, and professional manner
  • coordinate seating flow to ensure efficient service and minimize wait times
  • escort guests to tables, giving special attention to reservations, preferences, or accessibility needs
  • answer phones, take reservations, and provide accurate information to residents and guests
  • manage reservations, walk-ins, and waitlists to optimize table turnover
  • take carry-out orders and deliver meals to residents in a timely and courteous manner
  • communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure seamless dining room operations
  • provide exceptional customer service, with a strong focus on resident satisfaction
  • address questions or concerns promptly and escalate issues to management when appropriate
  • maintain an organized and clean host area, including menus, seating charts, and reservation logs
  • monitor dining room appearance and assist with light bussing or resetting tables as needed
  • follow all facility policies, including safety, sanitation, and resident confidentiality
  • assist servers and dining staff during peak times by running beverages and restocking supplies
  • support special events, large group dining, and holiday meals as needed
  • contribute to a team-oriented environment by helping wherever needed
  • accurately log reservations, preferences, and carry-out orders in the POS or reservation system
  • track and share resident feedback with management for continuous improvement
