Job Duties
- Greet and seat residents and guests in a warm, friendly, and professional manner
- coordinate seating flow to ensure efficient service and minimize wait times
- escort guests to tables, giving special attention to reservations, preferences, or accessibility needs
- answer phones, take reservations, and provide accurate information to residents and guests
- manage reservations, walk-ins, and waitlists to optimize table turnover
- take carry-out orders and deliver meals to residents in a timely and courteous manner
- communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure seamless dining room operations
- provide exceptional customer service, with a strong focus on resident satisfaction
- address questions or concerns promptly and escalate issues to management when appropriate
- maintain an organized and clean host area, including menus, seating charts, and reservation logs
- monitor dining room appearance and assist with light bussing or resetting tables as needed
- follow all facility policies, including safety, sanitation, and resident confidentiality
- assist servers and dining staff during peak times by running beverages and restocking supplies
- support special events, large group dining, and holiday meals as needed
- contribute to a team-oriented environment by helping wherever needed
- accurately log reservations, preferences, and carry-out orders in the POS or reservation system
- track and share resident feedback with management for continuous improvement
