Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of solid recovery or lived experience with substance abuse in the family
  • strong understanding of addiction and recovery
  • effective oral and written communication skills
  • strong interpersonal boundaries
  • computer proficiency
  • knowledge of Plymouth area recovery communities and service providers
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • Embrace and work in a culturally and linguistically diverse recovery community
  • support all paths to recovery with a minimum of 2 years of solid recovery or lived experience as an individual affected by substance abuse in the family
  • comprehensive understanding of substance addiction and recovery
  • effective oral and written communication skills
  • strong interpersonal boundaries
  • above average computer skills and proficiency with required software
  • knowledge and experience of the Plymouth area recovery communities, organizations, and service providers
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends

Job Duties

  • Responsible for daily supervision of Peer Leaders and volunteers
  • manages peer support and peer activities including peer-facilitated recovery groups and community activities
  • responsible for developing schedules and work plans for Peer Leaders
  • assist with gathering required survey data and entering data into recovery measures application
  • act as the liaison to the Ethics Committee
  • responsible for coordinating peers participating in community activities and events with the goal of addressing and decreasing the stigma of addiction
