Job Requirements

  • At least 1 year of professional experience as a veterinary technician or receptionist
  • availability to work weekends
  • strong client communication and customer service skills
  • knowledge of veterinary procedures and hospital operations
  • ability to perform safe and low-stress animal restraint
  • proficiency in lab sample collection and diagnostic imaging
  • ability to assist in surgical and anesthetic procedures
  • commitment to reliability and punctuality
  • comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • willingness to provide compassionate emotional support to clients
  • bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required

Job Qualifications

  • Veterinary technician or receptionist with at least 1+ years professional experience
  • veterinary technician experience preferred
  • compassionate and calm team-player
  • consistent punctuality and reliability in adherence to scheduled shifts
  • availability to work weekends
  • excellent client communication, customer service, and medical record management skills
  • bilingual English / Spanish is highly preferred, but not required
  • comprehensive knowledge of veterinary procedures, preventative care, and hospital operations
  • expertise in safe and low-stress animal restraint techniques
  • proficiency in various sample collection methods, including blood, urine, fecal, and skin specimens
  • experience in radiographic positioning and image capture
  • experience in anesthesia administration and surgical monitoring
  • commitment to professional ethics and continuous learning
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to animal-related hazards

Job Duties

  • Pet restraint
  • triage incoming patients
  • collection and analysis of lab samples
  • diagnostic imaging
  • management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability
  • administration of medications
  • effective communication of treatment plans with clients
  • surgical preparation and assistance
  • anesthetic management
  • maintain the visual appeal of the hospital reception area
  • greet and welcome clients and patients
  • answer questions and triage client concerns
  • answer calls or emails and direct to the appropriate party for resolution
  • schedule appointments to maximize efficiency and daily flow
  • check in and check out clients and process payments
  • offer friendly emotional support in a compassionate and discreet manner during times of need
