Priority Pet Urgent Care of Hermitage is a newly established urgent care veterinary facility dedicated to providing exceptional medical care to pets during times when primary care veterinarians are unavailable. Pet accidents, illnesses, and injuries often occur unexpectedly and typically happen outside of normal business hours. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous customer service experience
  • veterinary receptionist experience preferred
  • availability to work Friday evenings and weekends
  • ability to handle unpleasant odors and noises
  • comfortable with exposure to bites, scratches, animal waste and contagious diseases
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to multi-task
  • good organizational skills
  • basic computer proficiency

Job Qualifications

  • Previous customer service experience
  • 1-year veterinary receptionist experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Maintain the visual appeal of the hospital reception area
  • greet and welcome clients and patients
  • answer questions and triage client concerns
  • answer calls or emails and direct to the appropriate party for resolution
  • schedule appointments to maximize efficiency and daily flow
  • check in and check out clients and process payments
  • offer friendly emotional support in a compassionate and discreet manner during times of need
  • withstand unpleasant odors and noises
  • handle exposure to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases
