Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
  • Ability to work up to 18 hours per week
  • Must have valid, current driver’s license
  • Willingness to travel using golf carts on campus
  • Ability to work some nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and courteous interaction
  • Passing a criminal background check

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets such as MS Office Word and Excel
  • Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware
  • Good command of English oral and written
  • Friendly and professional customer service skills
  • Precise attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality and courtesy
  • Valid and current driver’s license

Job Duties

  • Provide prompt, friendly service to all customers including residents, staff, faculty, parents, and guests
  • Serve as summer tour guide
  • Utilize customer service strategies to enhance guest satisfaction
  • Be familiar with campus and community resources and services
  • Present a positive image of TJC through appearance, demeanor, and attitude
  • Answer desk telephone and direct calls accurately
  • Report to and complete duties as assigned by the Assistant Director, Housing Operations and Administrative Services
  • Attend all required meetings and training sessions
  • Maintain accurate records of activities and transactions during desk shifts
  • Perform administrative duties as assigned
