Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior work experience in a retail environment preferred
- combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge
Job Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
- ability to perform general cleaning duties to company standards
- ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures
- excellent verbal communication skills
- ability to work independently and within a team environment
- effective time management
- knowledge of products and services of the company
- for cashiers, ability to operate a cash register efficiently and accurately
- for cashiers, compliance with state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages
- for stockers, ability to operate equipment safely including electric/manual hand jack, floor scrubber, and cardboard baler
- for stockers, availability for morning shifts starting as early as 5:00 a.m.
Job Duties
- Collaborates with team members and communicates relevant information to direct leader
- upholds the security and confidentiality of documents and data within area of responsibility
- performs duties with or without reasonable accommodation
- processes customer purchases
- performs general cleaning duties
- stocks shelves and merchandise displays neatly
- provides exceptional customer service assisting customers with their shopping experience
- provides feedback to management on products, inventory losses, scanning errors, and general issues
- participates in taking store inventory counts and monitoring inventory for accuracy
- adheres to cash policies and procedures to minimize losses
- stocks shelves and rotates product properly
- follows merchandising planograms to create well-merchandised displays
- organizes new inventory and removes empty boxes
- operates machinery and follows safety procedures
- regularly sits, stands, bends, reaches, pushes, pulls, lifts, carries, and walks about the store
