Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior retail work experience preferred
  • Combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge
  • Physical ability to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift up to 45 pounds, carry, and walk throughout the store
  • Ability to stock merchandise from receiving to shelving
  • Ability to work morning shifts as required for stockers
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and company standards

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
  • Ability to perform general cleaning duties to company standards
  • Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures

  • For cashiers, ability to operate a cash register efficiently and accurately
  • For cashiers, compliance with state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages
  • For stockers, ability to operate equipment safely including electric/manual hand jack, floor scrubber, and cardboard baler
  • For stockers, morning availability to accommodate early shifts starting as early as 5:00 a.m.

Job Duties

  • Collaborates with team members and communicates relevant information to direct leader
  • Upholds the security and confidentiality of documents and data within area of responsibility
  • Performs cashier duties such as processing customer purchases, general cleaning, stocking shelves, and assisting customers
  • Provides feedback to management on products, inventory losses, scanning errors, and issues
  • Participates in inventory counts and monitors inventory accuracy
  • Adheres to cash policies and procedures to minimize losses
  • Stocks shelves and rotates products properly to ensure freshness
  • Follows merchandising planograms to create attractive displays
  • Organizes new inventory and breaks down empty boxes
  • Operates machinery while following all safety procedures
