Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior work experience in a retail environment preferred
- a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge
Job Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
- ability to perform general cleaning duties to company standards
- ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures
- excellent verbal communication skills
- ability to work independently and within a team environment
- effective time management skills
- knowledge of company products and services
- cashier must be able to operate a cash register efficiently and accurately
- cashier must comply with state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages
- stocker must be able to operate equipment safely and properly including electric/manual hand jack, floor scrubber, and cardboard baler
- stocker must have morning availability with shifts starting as early as 5:00 a.m.
Job Duties
- Collaborates with team members and communicates relevant information to direct leader
- upholds the security and confidentiality of documents and data within area of responsibility
- performs duties with or without reasonable accommodation
- processes customer purchases and operates cash registers accurately
- provides exceptional customer service and assists customers with their shopping needs
- provides feedback to management on products, inventory losses, scanning errors, and general issues
- participates in taking store inventory counts and monitors inventory accuracy
- adheres to cash handling policies and procedures
- stocks shelves and rotates product properly to ensure freshness
- follows merchandising planograms to create appealing displays
- organizes new inventory and breaks down empty boxes
- operates machinery safely following all safety procedures
- maintains store cleanliness and presentation
- fulfills any other duties as assigned
