Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior work experience in a retail environment preferred
- A combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge
Job Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
- Ability to perform general cleaning duties to company standards
- Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Effective time management
- Knowledge of company products and services
- Cashiers must be able to operate a cash register efficiently and accurately
- Cashiers must comply with state and local alcohol handling requirements
- Stockers must be able to operate equipment safely, including electric/manual hand jack, floor scrubber, and cardboard baler
- Stockers must have morning availability, with shifts starting as early as 5:00 a.m.
Job Duties
- Collaborates with team members and communicates relevant information to direct leader
- Upholds the security and confidentiality of documents and data within area of responsibility
- Performs duties with or without reasonable accommodation
- Processes customer purchases
- Performs general cleaning duties
- Stocks shelves and merchandise displays neatly
- Provides exceptional customer service
- Assists customers with their shopping experience
- Provides feedback to management on products, inventory losses, scanning errors, and general issues
- Participates in store inventory counts and monitors inventory accuracy
- Adheres to cash policies and procedures to minimize losses
- Stocks shelves and rotates products properly to guarantee freshness
- Follows merchandising planograms to create well-merchandised displays
- Organizes new inventory, removes and breaks down empty boxes
- Operates machinery safely and follows safety procedures
- Regularly sits, stands, bends, reaches, pushes, pulls, lifts, carries, and walks about the store
- Stocks merchandise weighing up to 45 pounds at various heights
