Job Requirements

  • Experience as a Sommelier in an upscale, high-volume restaurant
  • CMS or WSET certifications preferred or equivalent from another accredited wine institution
  • Extensive knowledge of wine and wine service techniques
  • Availability to work nights, weekends and holidays
  • Positive attitude
  • A guest-first mindset and passion for providing exemplary guest service
  • Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency
  • Ability to take direction and to communicate effectively

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Assist guests with wine and champagne selection considering their taste and budget
  • Anticipate guest needs and provide information regarding venues, menus, and pricing
  • Explain how wines and champagne complement food and dessert menus
  • Ensure all wines are presented and served correctly following company standards
  • Inform and suggest alternative wine selections if a guest's preference is unavailable
  • Provide engaged, friendly, and attentive customer service to all guests
  • Perform additional duties as instructed by management
