Job Requirements

  • Previous food service experience is preferred
  • experience working with a POS system is beneficial
  • proficiency in English both written and verbal is required
  • a Food Handler certification or the ability to obtain one is required
  • must be flexible to work days, evenings, weekends including Saturdays and Sundays, and holidays as needed
  • physical ability to stand and walk for up to 90 percent of the workday
  • ability to lift, carry, push, and hold up to 50 pounds
  • must successfully complete background check and drug testing as part of the hiring process

Job Duties

  • Welcome and seat residents and guests in the dining area when no host is available
  • guide guests through their dining experience, maintaining full knowledge of the menu and preparation methods
  • follow the Food & Beverage sequence of service ensuring proper procedures are consistently adhered to
  • set and reset tables before, during, and after service ensuring all silverware, glassware, share plates, and napkins are clean and polished
  • clear and clean tables as needed during service, removing used dishes and glassware
  • assist in running food and beverages to tables ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • complete opening and closing duties including setting up and breaking down the dining area and performing side work throughout the shift
  • address spills and broken glassware/dishes immediately, using floor signs when necessary to maintain safety
  • clean all equipment, tools, and supplies ensuring they are in good working order following company policies and local health department guidelines
  • collaborate with management, fellow servers, and staff to address guest needs, resolve any issues, and ensure smooth service
  • maintain a positive, respectful, and enthusiastic attitude toward all team members and guests always
  • perform other related tasks as required by management
