Job Requirements

  • must meet all applicable state and federal requirements for this position
  • ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • ability to push and pull up to 50 lbs
  • ability to bend, twist, stoop, reach at or below the shoulder
  • frequently stand or walk
  • capable of working with ill, disabled, elderly, and emotionally upset people
  • ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, residents, and families

Job Qualifications

  • food service and/or hospitality experience preferred
  • effective communication skills
  • ability to make independent decisions
  • ability to work with elderly, disabled, and emotionally upset individuals
  • knowledge of sanitary regulations

Job Duties

  • serve meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance
  • serve food in accordance with established portion control procedures
  • distribute and collect menus as necessary
  • take meal orders, serve food and beverages, and answer questions regarding the menu
  • follow sanitary regulations at all times
  • provide platinum service with each dining experience
  • set up meal trays, food carts and set up the dining room with utensils, salt and pepper, napkins, and clean common areas prior and after meals are served
