Job Requirements
- must meet all applicable state and federal requirements for this position
- ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- ability to push and pull up to 50 lbs
- ability to bend, twist, stoop, reach at or below the shoulder
- frequently stand or walk
- capable of working with ill, disabled, elderly, and emotionally upset people
- ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, residents, and families
Job Qualifications
- food service and/or hospitality experience preferred
- effective communication skills
- ability to make independent decisions
- ability to work with elderly, disabled, and emotionally upset individuals
- knowledge of sanitary regulations
Job Duties
- serve meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance
- serve food in accordance with established portion control procedures
- distribute and collect menus as necessary
- take meal orders, serve food and beverages, and answer questions regarding the menu
- follow sanitary regulations at all times
- provide platinum service with each dining experience
- set up meal trays, food carts and set up the dining room with utensils, salt and pepper, napkins, and clean common areas prior and after meals are served
