Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in recreational program coordination or related field
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in supervising staff and volunteers
  • Proficiency in computer software relevant to program management
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously
  • Valid identification and eligibility to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in recreational program coordination or related field
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Proven ability to supervise staff and volunteers
  • Proficiency with program and facility software systems
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Knowledge of facility use policies and procedures
  • Experience in event coordination and community outreach

Job Duties

  • Recruit, train, direct, evaluate, and supervise the work of subordinate staff and volunteers
  • Supervise, coordinate, and evaluate a variety of recreational programs
  • Organize tasks, track program information, staff and volunteer hours, prepare reports, and maintain logs and financial records
  • Order and maintain program supplies and equipment
  • Interpret policies and procedures
  • Assist in coordination of special events and arrange staffing
  • Provide program information and respond to citizen requests and complaints
  • Coordinate emergency assistance and transportation programs
  • Develop and distribute program publicity
  • Conduct orientations and supervise instructor evaluations
  • Create marketing materials and manage advertising contacts
  • Enter course and instructor information into program software
  • Reserve facilities and process registrations including cancellations and refunds
  • Prepare community center calendars
  • Liaise with cable company and assist in website updates
  • Support fundraising efforts and maintain fundraising records
  • Maintain positive working relationships with coworkers and public
  • Perform related duties as required
