Job Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Capability to use hands and arms for handling and reaching
- Good vision including color and depth perception
- Ability to communicate clearly in English
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
- Willingness to complete all required company training
- Flexible to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
- Reliable and punctual with strong attendance
- Ability to follow company policies and procedures strictly
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous cashier or retail experience beneficial
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to operate cash registers and self-checkout technology
- Knowledge of customer service best practices
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, and calculating percentages
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures
- Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently
- Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative
- Willingness to complete company-required training
- Ability to comply with safety, security, and sanitation standards
Job Duties
- Take excellent care of customers by satisfying their needs and exceeding expectations
- Operate self-checkout stations accurately and efficiently
- Maintain security and cash control of register funds
- Assist customers with self-checkout process, including scanning and bagging items
- Follow company procedures for VIC card transactions and savings
- Ensure compliance with state and local ABC and tobacco laws
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in checkout and store areas
- Communicate effectively with customers and team members about promotions and requests
- Adapt to shifting priorities and assist fellow associates as needed
- Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines
