Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • Ability to stand, walk, and use hands and arms for extended periods
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English
  • Completion of company training including new hire orientation and cashier technical skills
  • Ability to handle cash accurately
  • Willingness to comply with company policies and safety regulations
  • Flexibility to adapt and multitask in a fast-paced retail setting

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions in English
  • Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, and percentage calculations
  • Willingness to complete required company training programs
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Demonstrated customer service experience is beneficial

Job Duties

  • Take excellent care of customers by satisfying their needs and exceeding expectations
  • Operate the self-checkout register and maintain security of all funds
  • Provide courteous, friendly, and prompt customer service
  • Accurately process customer transactions and handle cash with good control
  • Assist customers with self-checkout procedures and scanning needs
  • Follow company procedures for VIC card savings and proper bagging techniques
  • Communicate effectively with customers and management regarding sales, promotions, and store conditions
