Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ability to work 29 hours per week on site in Arlington, VA
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- ability to manage multiple tasks and scheduling conflicts
- must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
- successful completion of criminal background check required
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate
- proficient with Microsoft Office
- outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with a diverse audience including faculty, staff, alumni, donors, students, and community
- excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- strong customer service, time management, and organizational skills with high attention to detail
- experience with Resource25 or other event management scheduling programs preferred
- experience utilizing Canva for marketing materials preferred
- knowledge of campus executive conference center or other event venues preferred
- experience working in higher education preferred
Job Duties
- Schedules and coordinates events, conferences, and other activities held at the Mason Square Campus (Arlington)
- supports the management of the centralized Mason Square Conferencing and Events email inbox ensuring timely, accurate, and client-solution focused communication
- evaluates and approves space requests to ensure optimal utilization of event spaces including executive conference center and global studio
- analyzes scheduling conflicts and collaborates with academic units and event stakeholders to find client focused solutions
- ensures all event requests adhere to university policies and all necessary documentation is complete
- fosters long-term client relationships with proactive communication and exceptional service
- assists with logistical arrangements, provides cost estimates and information on support services
- develops and manages event contracts and certificates of insurance ensuring accurate tracking and documentation
- responds promptly and professionally to meet customer needs and resolve issues
