  • minimum 1-year retail or customer service experience preferred
  • previous supervisory experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Assist store management with in-store supervision including directing personnel
  • provide effective leadership to all associates
  • display the highest level of customer service in all areas
  • resolve guest issues effectively
  • keep supervisor informed of product, guest, and personnel issues
  • monitor and approve guest’s returns in accordance with retail policies
  • monitor associates guest service levels and provide feedback as needed
  • utilize GUESTS program when interacting with guests on sales floor or phone and when handling guest owned jewelry
  • prepare and review supply order from the JAC warehouse and prepare orders for other items through applicable purchasing channels
  • perform leadership responsibilities for store opening and closing duties
  • provide leadership and training to associates in all areas of responsibility with emphasis on guest service and sales
  • coordinate regular associate training and seasonal associate training
  • delegate assignments to associates
  • assist in annual inventory process ensuring compliance with established processes and guidelines
  • assist in inventory cycle counting, inventory adjustments, shipping and receiving of merchandise following company procedures
  • notify appropriate retail and corporate personnel when inventory issues are discovered
  • participate and assist in conducting regularly scheduled store meetings
  • implement plans to participate effectively in company special events and promotions
  • develop and conduct team building activities
  • monitor product trends and changes in retail and communicate to district manager
  • operate all service equipment including polish motor, handheld polisher, PUK weld equipment, pin finisher unit, ultra-sonic unit, small tools and related chemicals
  • train staff to operate all service area equipment and small tools
  • perform staging, setup, maintenance and replacement of display items following visual merchandising guide parameters
  • assist store management in maintaining company standards for overall store presentation
  • process employee purchases in absence of store manager or assistant manager or co-manager
  • ensure company security procedures are used to protect assets
  • review and create employee schedules in absence of management staff ensuring schedule meets operational and budgetary guidelines and customer service levels
  • demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills
  • multitask in fast-paced environment
  • observe all safety regulations and participate in safety training
  • adhere to all company policies including attendance, harassment freedom, and electronic communication guidelines
  • assume lead role in absence of other leadership team members
  • build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • collaborate with departmental and cross-functional teams to build trust and credibility
  • assist in other areas as assigned by supervisor
