Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous retail or customer service experience preferred
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • basic math skills
  • ability to lift and move moderate weights
  • availability to work flexible schedules including weekends
  • strong interpersonal skills
  • ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently

Job Qualifications

  • Proven customer service skills
  • knowledge of retail sales principles and practices
  • ability to operate point of sale (POS) systems
  • basic understanding of inventory management
  • effective communication skills
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends
  • familiarity with hardware tools and products is preferred
  • ability to follow company policies and procedures

Job Duties

  • Greet all customers and assist in answering questions about merchandise and locating merchandising
  • use the S.A.L.E.S process to help customers find everything on their lists
  • complete all company and departmental paperwork accurately including price change bulletins, operation actions, red tags, and bin tags
  • receive, open, and unpack cartons or crates of merchandise, check paperwork against items received, and replenish stock when necessary
  • display and maintain merchandise on end caps, shelves, counters or tables following company plan-o-gram, build displays when necessary to attract customers and promote sales
  • maintain on-hand integrity through inventory adjustment reports including cycle count and negative on-hand
  • follow the nightly maintenance checklist to ensure proper store recovery and cleanliness
