Job Requirements

  • US citizenship
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in an office environment
  • Prior receptionist experience preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in a customer service role
  • Ability to support full-time hours as on call when morning receptionist is absent or on vacation
  • Ability to maintain and obtain a security clearance

  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Professional with positive, enthusiastic, respectful, and friendly attitude

Job Duties

  • Provide support at the corporate front desk between 12:00 pm and 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday with ability to cover morning receptionist absences
  • Receive visitors by greeting them politely in person and on the telephone
  • Answer or refer inquiries as needed
  • Utilize employee and department directories to direct visitors appropriately
  • Monitor visitor access and maintain security awareness including administering visitor badge in/out process and maintaining visitor logbook and records
  • Ensure reception and common areas are kept clean and tidy
  • Assist with scheduling meeting and conference rooms
  • Document and communicate actions and irregularities to maintain mission continuity
  • Handle outgoing and incoming mail and deliveries
  • Assist with stocking basic office supplies and refreshments
  • Operate standard office equipment including computer, copy machine, postage meter, and badge printer
  • Ensure compliance with company rules, procedures, and regulations
  • Perform other general administrative and clerical support duties as assigned
