Job Requirements

  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
  • Ability to sit up to 8 hours per day
  • Ability to stand up to 2 hours per day
  • Ability to walk up to 2 hours per day
  • Ability to lift, transfer, push, or pull up to 25 pounds
  • Willingness to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as scheduled
  • Ability to work around residents/patients with various health conditions
  • Compliance with risk category III for exposure to bloodborne diseases

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Six months experience in an administrative or clerical position
  • Experience with a multi-line telephone system
  • Typing speed of at least 50 words per minute
  • Knowledge of office machines, equipment, and procedures
  • Proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and the internet

Job Duties

  • Answers the multi-line telephone system and directs calls to proper departments and/or staff
  • Monitors main entrance, greets visitors, verifies who is entering the building, maintains the sign-in log, and directs visitors accordingly
  • Calmly handles emergencies including resident and fire alarms
  • Maintains and updates resident directory, emergency contacts, department extensions, and key personnel information daily
  • Receives, sorts, and distributes mail, updating resident mail files as needed
  • Interfaces with the public greeting and directing visitors professionally
  • Listens and responds to the needs of residents and staff members
  • Assists with administrative duties such as typing, filing, and copying
  • Completes daily reports including the Daily Huddle and Channel 2 broadcast information
  • Manages gift shop inventory and cash flow, schedules chapel usage and setups, maintains business office files, tracks beauty shop charges and garage space rentals, and dispatches security as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned
