Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum 1-year practical industry experience
- ability to work with lab equipment such as moisture meters, brewers, grinders, Agtron, Malvern, and Mocon instruments
- effective communication skills
- self-motivation and ability to work independently and in a team
- ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines including overtime
- knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, SQF Level 2 standards, and food safety programs
- ability to use Microsoft Office products such as Office 365, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 1-year practical industry experience
- HACCP certification preferred
- experience with Good Manufacturing Practices and SQF Level 2 standards
- effective written and verbal communication skills
- knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- ability to operate lab equipment such as moisture meters, brewers, grinders, Agtron, Malvern, and Mocon instruments
- self-motivated with strong organizational and prioritization skills
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- capable of working under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties
- Administer company policies and procedures within the Quality Assurance department
- coordinate with Quality and Production Supervisors on quality issues
- conduct daily plant inspections for GMP and product protection violations
- assist production in completing necessary QC paperwork
- monitor defined checks and tests to ensure product conformance
- perform laboratory testing including weight checks, leak tests, and oxygen/headspace tests
- troubleshoot and resolve quality issues using quality tools
- document standards and ensure regulatory compliance
- audit production processes and the food safety and quality management system
- collect customer samples and manage external and internal laboratory testing
- support food safety culture by adhering to company protocols
- collect and record foreign material findings
- attend shift huddles and participate in team communication
- perform other assigned duties as needed
