Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 1-year practical industry experience
  • ability to work with lab equipment such as moisture meters, brewers, grinders, Agtron, Malvern, and Mocon instruments
  • effective communication skills
  • self-motivation and ability to work independently and in a team
  • ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines including overtime
  • knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, SQF Level 2 standards, and food safety programs
  • ability to use Microsoft Office products such as Office 365, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 1-year practical industry experience
  • HACCP certification preferred
  • experience with Good Manufacturing Practices and SQF Level 2 standards
  • effective written and verbal communication skills
  • knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • ability to operate lab equipment such as moisture meters, brewers, grinders, Agtron, Malvern, and Mocon instruments
  • self-motivated with strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • capable of working under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • high school diploma or equivalent

Job Duties

  • Administer company policies and procedures within the Quality Assurance department
  • coordinate with Quality and Production Supervisors on quality issues
  • conduct daily plant inspections for GMP and product protection violations
  • assist production in completing necessary QC paperwork
  • monitor defined checks and tests to ensure product conformance
  • perform laboratory testing including weight checks, leak tests, and oxygen/headspace tests
  • troubleshoot and resolve quality issues using quality tools
  • document standards and ensure regulatory compliance
  • audit production processes and the food safety and quality management system
  • collect customer samples and manage external and internal laboratory testing
  • support food safety culture by adhering to company protocols
  • collect and record foreign material findings
  • attend shift huddles and participate in team communication
  • perform other assigned duties as needed
