Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • at least one year of recreational programming or related experience
  • valid driver’s license
  • ability to obtain First Aid/CPR certification within 6 months
  • reliable attendance and punctuality
  • ability to work Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays including evenings and extra hours
  • ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather
  • physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • ability to operate a 15 passenger vehicle safely
  • cooperative team player
  • ability to communicate effectively with public and staff
  • ability to use graphic design and social media software

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma with one year recreational programming or related experience
  • valid driver’s license
  • certification in First Aid/CPR or ability to attain within 6 months
  • supervisory experience preferred
  • knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Canva and Microsoft Office
  • ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing
  • ability to handle mathematical calculations and technical subjects
  • experience with social media management and marketing
  • ability to drive a 15 passenger vehicle

Job Duties

  • assists with planning, developing and evaluating programs and special events for all age groups
  • assists with outreach calendar, graphic design and promotion
  • recommends programming to meet community needs
  • maintains records and updates reports, flyers, publications and promotional materials
  • instructs classes and conducts programs as needed
  • maintains inventory of supplies and requisitions supplies for activities
  • coordinates volunteer recruitment, training and recognition
  • prepares facility for programs and events
  • manages daily operations and long-range program planning
  • manages social media, e-newsletters, memberships and front desk duties
  • coordinates facility rentals and facilitates rental logistics
  • conducts research for special projects and public relations
  • assists with website updates
  • transports participants
  • enforces facility rules
  • serves as community resource
  • performs other related duties
