Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of recreational programming or related experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to obtain First Aid/CPR certification within six months of employment
- Availability to work 24 hours per week including evenings and Saturdays
- Ability to work cooperatively with others
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Ability to operate and ensure safety of vehicles per ACC safe driving policy
- Physical ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of recreational programming or related experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to obtain First Aid/CPR certification within six months of employment
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva and Microsoft Office
- Strong communication skills both orally and in writing
- Knowledge of marketing, content creation, social media and copywriting
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Ability to effectively interact with diverse community groups
- Ability to drive a 15 passenger vehicle
Job Duties
- Assist with planning, developing and evaluating programs and special events for all age groups
- Serve as the liaison between programs in exhibition/education areas and the public
- Manage outreach calendar, graphic design and promotional activities
- Recommend programming to meet community needs
- Maintain and process records, reports, flyers and promotional materials
- Instruct classes and conduct programs when necessary
- Maintain inventory of supplies and requisition materials for activities
- Coordinate volunteer needs, recruitment, training and recognition
- Prepare facility for programs and special events
- Inspect and monitor facility buildings and grounds and perform routine maintenance
- Assist with management of daily operations and program planning
- Manage social media, e-newsletters and memberships
- Staff the front desk and fill in for full-time staff as needed
- Schedule and assist with Lyndon House rentals including bookings and logistics
- Perform research for special projects and public needs
- Assist with website updates
- Transport participants as needed
- Enforce facility rules and regulations
- Serve as community resource person for programming and events
- Perform other related duties as required
