Job Description
The Healing Lodge of the Seven Nations is a residential treatment facility dedicated to providing comprehensive care and support for adolescents aged 13 to 17 years old. This facility offers both residential and outpatient clinical care, integrating traditional, spiritual, and cultural values alongside chemical dependency and mental health counseling to foster a holistic approach toward healing. The Healing Lodge serves a diverse population that includes both Native and non-Native youth from across the United States, emphasizing a community-centered environment where cultural identity and healing are intertwined.

Job Requirements
- Must have food handler's card
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
- Frequent reaching, stooping, kneeling, or carrying of equipment and materials
- Ability to walk and stand on quarry tile floors
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, and fumes
- Must have full function of hands and fingers and be able to handle knives and serving items
- Ability to verbally communicate and have proficient hearing
- Job requires close vision and the ability to adjust focus
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One year related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience operating kitchen equipment and cooking utensils in a food service facility
- Knowledge of regulations and procedures used in food preparation, serving and storage
- Experience and/or training working with at-risk adolescents preferred
Job Duties
- Prepare meals and snacks according to planned menu
- Clean, sanitize and organize work areas, equipment, utensils and service station
- Serve residents, staff and guests in a professional, efficient and friendly manner
- Prep dining areas and kitchen for next shift by cleaning and restocking
- Clean machines and appliances used in the kitchen
- Maintain inventory and stock levels of food items and paper supplies and unload and store deliveries
- Perform additional tasks as assigned
