Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • ability to wash, peel, slice, and mix ingredients quickly and efficiently
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • good communication and interpersonal skills
  • availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous experience as a prep cook or in a similar food preparation role is a plus
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • strong teamwork and communication skills
  • positive attitude and genuine approach to hospitality

Job Duties

  • prepare a variety of hot and cold food items such as salad mixes, sauces, side dishes, and appetizers
  • portion, wash, peel, slice, and mix vegetables, fruits, pasta, and other ingredients
  • carve and slice meats and cheese
  • measure and mix ingredients to make salad dressings, sauces, salads, and hot and cold food items following recipes
  • meet company quality standards in preparation and presentation of food
  • follow all national, state, and local safety, health, and sanitation guidelines
  • cooperate with management and co-workers to assist others with duties if needed
