Serving as a vital member of the Senior Center staff, this role is crucial as the first point of contact and representative for the city’s community center. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- experience in receptionist or office duties
- experience working with the general public
- valid driver’s license with strong driving record
- ability to work part-time hours Monday through Friday
- ability to operate multi-line telephone system
- basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
- ability to perform opening and closing procedures
- reliable and flexible schedule

Job Duties
- Unlock entrance door upon arrival and lock door at end of day
- update and refill literature and counter racks
- greet visitors warmly and professionally
- screen visitors as needed
- answer telephone promptly and direct calls accurately using a multi-line phone system
- take complete and accurate messages
- distribute handouts and Senior Center information
- assist with computer input for registrations and room rentals
- perform data entry including Excel spreadsheet work
- maintain process notebook for seamless service
- verify Senior Center memberships
- post facility holiday and special event closings
- assist members with computer room access
- deliver interoffice mail and deposits using city vehicle
- assist Senior Center Superintendent and Recreation Director as needed
- perform other assigned duties
