Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- experience working with general public preferred
- experience in office or receptionist roles
- proficiency with multi-line phone systems
- computer literacy including Microsoft Office
- excellent social interaction skills
- verbal and written communication skills
- ability to work independently
- valid driver’s license and strong driving record
- availability for part-time hours Monday through Friday
- ability to work varying and extended hours including occasional weekends
- ability to lift 15 pounds
- ability to sit or stand for extended periods
- ability to hear and see adequately with or without aids
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Unlock entrance door upon arrival and lock door at end of business
- update and refill literature and counter racks
- greet visitors warmly and professionally
- screen visitors as needed
- serve as first line of resource for telephone inquiries about Senior Center activities
- answer telephone promptly and direct calls accurately
- take complete and accurate messages
- distribute handouts including newsletter and membership information
- assist with computer input for registrations and room rentals
- perform data entry including Excel spreadsheet tasks
- maintain process notebook and documentation
- verify Senior Center memberships
- post facility holiday and special event closings
- assist members with computer room access and sign-in
- deliver interoffice mail and daily deposits using city vehicle
- assist Senior Center Superintendent and Parks and Recreation leadership
- perform other duties as assigned
