Job Requirements

  • At least six months of experience as a bartender
  • Bartending and food handler certifications
  • Ability to communicate in English
  • Self-starting personality with an even disposition
  • Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times
  • Good communication skills with guests
  • Willingness to help co-workers and work as a team player
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and various alcoholic beverages
  • Basic mathematical skills to operate cash registers, make change, and manage financial transactions
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to use knives, pick up glassware and bottles, scoop ice, mix drinks, and retrieve stock overhead
  • Ability to remember and promote menu items
  • Ability to operate keyboard and point of sale procedures
  • Flexible work schedule including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Bartender certification
  • Food handler certification
  • At least six months of experience as a bartender
  • Ability to communicate in English effectively
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages
  • Basic mathematical skills to operate cash registers and handle financial transactions
  • Sufficient manual dexterity to prepare garnishes, mix drinks, and retrieve stock
  • Ability to operate a point of sale system and manage order processing
  • Professional appearance and manner
  • Team player with the ability to assist co-workers

Job Duties

  • Maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar including requisitioning and stocking all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, and produce
  • Maintain stock, cutting, and storing of fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables daily to ensure product quality
  • Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner, promote and document drink orders, mix, garnish and present drinks using standard recipes and portion control
  • Abide by all State, Federal and Corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages
  • Input orders into the register at the point of sale and create checks for each guest to maintain beverage accountability
  • Receive cash from guests, make change, verify guest checks, record charges and ensure proper execution of coupons to balance transactions
  • Lock up and store beverage, food, and equipment items, deposit cash drops and secure the bank
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available for all scheduled shifts
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned
