Job Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent
- Five years' experience working in a commercial, hotel, or fast-food kitchen
- At least three years' supervisory experience preferably in a kitchen environment
- Valid California driver's license and insurance
- Current Servsafe or equivalent Foodhandler's certification
- Ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures
- Ability to take initiative and be resourceful
- Ability to work cooperatively in a multi-ethnic environment
- Flexibility to adjust to changing schedules

- Valid CA driver's license and insurance

Job Duties
- Prepare and cook to order foods requiring short and broad preparation time
- Maintain overall cleanliness, sanitation, and safety of assigned area
- Ensure assigned staff report to work on time, in uniform, and ready to work
- Produce food and serve customers a la carte or prepare large quantities for later service
- Prepare food according to federal, state, and corporate standards and regulations
- Read food orders and prepare and cook food according to instructions
- Follow recipes and product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving and serving food
- Operate kitchen equipment to measure, mix, wash, peel, cut, shred, trim, slice, and cut ingredients
- Estimate food requirements, check production, and keep records to plan production and requisition supplies
- Ensure workstation and equipment cleanliness and sanitation
- Attend allergy and foodborne illness training
- Comply with HACCP standards and company safety policies
- Report accidents and participate in safety meetings
- Attend training programs
- Supervise up to 5 student staff per shift
- May prepare bakery items, receive and store inventory, move and lift foodstuffs, and prepare meals for special diets
