Job Qualifications

  • 2 years of line cook experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Assists the sous chef and or butcher in cutting meat
  • communicates frequently with the sous chef to report problems or discrepancies
  • assists side cook and other kitchen personnel in food preparation
  • preps all food products according to standards and procedures
  • ensures all food items are prepared according to company specifications, recipes, procedures, and quality standards
  • ensures guests have a superior dining experience by correctly timing and preparing food
  • maintains a clean, organized, and efficient broil station and kitchen line
  • checks par and stock levels of meats, poultry, seafood, condiments, garnishes, equipment, plate ware and smallware
  • cooks and seasons eggs in various preparations
  • selects correct cuts of meat for cooking
  • maintains broiler temperature and cleanliness
  • communicates with line and prep cooks to ensure readiness for service
  • maintains sanitation and food safety
  • reports any unsafe conditions or incidents
  • supports other back-of-house positions
  • completes all station closing duties
