Job Requirements

- Completion of Food Handler's Card required within 30 days of employment

- 2 years of line cook experience preferred
- Ability to understand and meet restaurant standards for health, safety, and excellence
- Ability to follow directions and work effectively with kitchen staff
- Detail-oriented and thorough
- Able to attend scheduled employee meetings and training including safety meetings
Job Duties
- Assist the Sous Chef and/or butcher in cutting meat following specifications and quality standards
- Communicate frequently with the Sous Chef to report kitchen issues including equipment, sanitation, cleanliness, safety, inventory, and food quality
- Assist side cook and other kitchen personnel in food preparation as assigned
- Prepare all food products according to company standards and procedures
- Ensure all food items are prepared according to recipes, procedures, plate presentation, and quality standards
- Deliver superior guest dining experience through correct timing and preparation of food
- Operate broil station and kitchen line in an organized, clean, smooth, and efficient manner
- Assist other kitchen line personnel to ensure food quality and timing standards are met
- Monitor par and stock levels of meats, poultry, seafood, condiments, and equipment, reporting discrepancies to the Sous Chef
- Cook and season eggs in a variety of preparations
- Select correct cuts of meat to match desired cooking temperatures
- Season, cook, and plate all dishes ensuring standards of quality, presentation, and timing
- Maintain optimum broiler temperature and cleanliness
- Communicate with line and prep cooks to prepare all food products on time
- Adhere to sanitation and food safety standards
- Report unsafe conditions promptly
- Return all unused meat products at end of shift
- Support other back-of-house positions to ensure a seamless guest experience
- Complete all station closing duties and assist in kitchen cleanliness
